CWRW GRAV

RUGGED BITTERNESS, CITRUS NOTES, DRINKABLE

3.9% ABV

Cwrw Grav is our take on a traditional Welsh bitter. This beer is all about the malt. We use a traditional malt base to bring sweetness and a dark amber colour. We wanted to add a modern twist and the best way is through the hops. Cascade, Amarillo and Simcoe bring a nice fruity lightness to the sweet malt base base. Cwrw Grav is 3.9% ABV, a nod to the famous Llanelli win against the All Blacks.

RAY GRAVELL

We at Tinworks firmly believe in giving back. What better way to do that by honouring the Llanelli legend Ray Gravell. 13% of the sales of Cwrw Grav will go to the Ray Gravell & Friends Charitable Trust.

Established in memory of one of Wales’ greatest ambassadors, The Ray Gravell & Friends Charitable Trust aims to ensure the passion, energy, and spirit of a true Welsh legend lives on by helping charities, projects, and individuals to support the communities of West Wales that would have been close to his heart.

The first seeds of the Trust, were originally sewn by Ray himself and two fellow Scarlets, Wales, and British Lions rugby legends Derek Quinnell and Phil Bennett OBE.

Ray, Derek, and Phil had already decided to establish a ‘Three Lions Charitable Trust’ to help support important causes, charities, and individuals throughout West Wales.

But following Ray’s death on 31 October 2007, it took on a new perspective and the Charity was established to not only raise money for those in need, but at the same time perpetuating the memory of a true legend and friend.

Mari Gravell, Albert Francis MBE, Derek Quinnell, and Phil Bennett OBE, agreed to be Honorary Patrons and together with a few other friends, under the initial Chairmanship of Derek Quinnell the Trust was established.
